It takes some thinking and patience to get through this game, but the result is incredibly rewarding and makes it one of the best games in an already amazing series.The future is not as bright as I had hoped. Whereas those games are purely action-oriented, you absolutely won’t get anywhere shooting blindly in Ghost Recon: Future Soldier. This gives the game a tactical feel that is nowhere to be seen in games like Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3. Players can command their allies to take out specific enemies on the battlefield also, syncing shots and marking threats make a comeback from previous Ghost Recon games, allowing you to know precisely where every enemy is at all times. PRoperly commanding your allies and working together to bring down outnumbering enemies is an essential component of the game, and something you’ll have to master if you hope to complete some of the game’s later missions. Sure, the gadgets are impressive and the guns are extremely powerful, but the ultimate weapon in Ghost Recon: Future Soldier is your squadmates.
This useful companion can fire a barrage of automatic missiles and also serves as a mobile cover, making it an invaluable asset on the battlefield. To add to the whole futuristic setting the game’s going for, players can also deploy a quadruped support robot known as the War Hound. Everything from triggers, optics, attachments, and even paint camos can be changed, giving the player ultimate freedom when it comes to customizing their favorite guns. Drones, a variety of grenades, and other cool spy-like gadgets appear throughout the game, adding some variety to each firefight.Īlong with the gadgets, each weapon can also be heavily customized through the game’s Gunsmith. Other than the new camouflage options, players will have access to some of the series’ nifty gadgets we’re used to seeing in the Tom Clancy franchise. As long as you’re crouching or moving slowly, your operatives will blend with their environments, providing players with ample opportunity to stalk their prey. The new ‘adaptive camouflage’ feature introduced in Ghost Recon: Future Soldier is similar to the OctoCamo we first saw in Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots.
